Home Information Packs
Anyone selling a home needs to provide a home information pack which can be organised in a matter of minutes. HIPs are intended to improve the home selling process by providing the necessary documentation in advance. Energy inspections are carried out by an accredited energy assessor and legal content fully indemnified and search code compliant from a leading AHIPP member.
From 6th April 2009 a HIP must be made available on the first day of marketing a property. Local authority and drainage water searches can be added later. A property questionnaire (PIQ) also needs to have been completed by the seller.
